21 IS LESS THAN 20 RIGHT???Posted: March 15, 2011
For the “20 items or less” aisle, which used to be “10 items or less” , but apparently that wasn’t enough so they had to increase it for impatient McDonald’s driven Americans. I believe that the “20 Items or Less” line should be just that! I hate it when I have two items and the person in front of me has twenty-four items and they are thinking just because they are 4 items over it’s ok. Well, it’s not!!! What part of 20 items or less do you not understand? Are you that much of an idiot that you don’t remember simple arithmetic? Or are you that much of an asshole that you don’t care about rules and other people? Furthermore, if you have 10 packages of top ramen, then that is 10 items – no, it’s not one item simply because it’s the same thing…it’s ten. If it’s a pack of ten then it is one. My solution: Cashiers should ring up the items as so, but once 20 items passes the register scanner, the register and scanner should shut down and a big sign should come up with lights and sirens saying: “You have met your 20 items or less limit. Please pay now. If you have more items to purchase, pleae return to the back of the line and wait your turn again…asshole!” or another alternative solution: charge individuals a fee for going over the limit, i.e. increase the tax rate from 8.5% to 85%.
